Friday's Afternoon Outing
We are up and running. Friday, June 8th, was scheduled to be a get acquainted picnic. The potential for rain forced us to move indoors. We lunched at Gibson's BBQ off South Memorial Parkway. The young adults practiced the three rules of conversation and manners. They utilized an informational chart to pinpoint questions for each member of the group. We learned so much about each other. The young adults were quite surprised to learn that others in their group shared similar interests.
In addition, some of the parents stayed and had lunch in another area of the restaurant. This gave them some time to socialize and share information. Check out our schedule online and consider joining our group.
